CRUACHAN Announce Newest Member Addition

January 24, 2003

Ireland's CRUACHAN have announced the addition to the group's lineup of a new full-time band member, Ed Gilbert. "Ed, who has been playing with us for over a year now as our guest, has now become a full-time member of the band," the group said in an official statement. "A lot of you have probably seen Ed play live with us in the past and will be familiar with him. He is a great musician and a great personality. Ed will be playing keyboard, tin whistle, banjo, acoustic guitar and bosco jays."

As previously reported, CRUACHAN have booked Sonic studios in Dublin from March 29 to May 11 to record their next album, tentatively due in the fall through Hammerheart Records. The band's last album, "Folk-Lore", was released in 2002.
